Xelerus is really collapsing.
I tried to update the description of a function. When you press save, it will return an error and delete the function from the database.
Please do not edit the functions, thank you.

Is there any kind of effort going on to make an archive of the site and all its contents? Should it be attempted?

I believe the mods are already archived. No idea about functions.

I’m pretty sure Digdug said he has all of the mods from Xelerus — including the ones that have been deleted. As for the functions, even if we lose the function list there, we still have the function lists that get posted with each new version of the game over here. Granted, we’d lose the more detailed usage notes and the examples, but there are already a lot of newer functions that don’t have anything of the sort (and, as far as that goes, aren’t even on the Xelerus list).

The collapse of xelerus has been ongoing for a long time. All mods up to the point when this was last brought up (5 or 6 months ago) were archived on github, from memory. Newer mods may not be up there. This is a new and troubling development though.
This does bring forward the need to get an in-house replacement....Steam Workshop was already in the pipeline and will definitely help a lot when it eventually turns up....but it's no use for non-steam users.

In case of total crash, I do have backups.I’m pretty sure Digdug said he has all of the mods from Xelerus — including the ones that have been deleted.
The functions are also on the wiki, thankfully.

Hey, Ttech, do you think it would it be worth someone filling the rest of the newer functions into the wiki, and then you pointing Katami at those instead of the list at Xelerus?digdug wrote:The functions are also on the wiki, thankfully.

Maybe, but I'd like to create something automated to do that if we go that route. Because Katami needs to parse and search, something the wiki wouldn't be great at I don't think. Unless you have an idea how to do that - All hears.
