Very nicely done I had a similiar idea to do this bit I wouldn't comment that much as it really drags the time ;)

I hope to do a couple more videos this week, but I'm not sure I'll get the chance. Things are starting to get more interesting now that I've got much of the explaining out of the way.

Recording with Camstudio: http://camstudio.org/
The version of Fraps I have won't record Transcendence and I'm not going to bother with upgrading.
Editing (if I need to split or trim a video) using VirtualDub: http://www.virtualdub.org/
Virtualdub gives me granular control of joining and splitting videos without having to recompress and lose quality.
Video encoding and recompression is Super: http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html
I can just set the output settings I want, drag in the videos I want to process and hit start.

All 3 programs are also freeware so if you want to do something similar, it won't cost you anything but your time.

I haven't recorded the next episode yet, so I'll consider the Shuriken unless as you say I find something better in this system.

Finally got some videos up. Suffering from a strange audio sync issue though. The video seems to lag the audio by a few seconds by the end of the video.

Figured I'd post an update since I haven't been on the forum lately. My Lets Play Transcendence series is now up to 30 episodes. I've gotten to St. K and have just backtracked to clean up Charon. I've yet to discover a targeting ROM so I haven't finished the arena quest yet.
