Howdy all - Thanks to George for creating this space.
I have been searching around for older versions of Transcendence available for download. Is there an archive, or maybe a mirror somewhere? I think I read somewhere that some earlier versions were working via emulators on Linux systems, and if someone could point me to one of those versions I would appreciate it.
I should also say that I tried to play v. 96a on Fedora Core, using WINE. I get an error message to the effect of: "shieldHUD.bmp is not found," or some such. Other than that, everything appeared ready to go. So maybe someone else has encountered this and knows of an easier fix than reverting to older verions?
Thanks - if worse comes to worst, i'll just have to keep playing at work!

I've kept versions since somewhere in 0.8. Anyone willing to host them?

I've kept all my stuff since 0.8 also.
You know, I've been thinking that playing through older versions might be a good way to get ideas for future versions.

I'm certainly OK with that as long as you put a link somewhere that points to:the_holy_thom wrote:Id be happy to put them on the modsite if its ok with George

So that people can get the latest version (Remember that "Downloads.html" is capitalized--URLs are case-sensitive).
p.s.: I do hope that we can get the latest version working on Wine. Maybe some Wine hacker can help us debug why its not working...

Thanks Thom and George, and anyone who sends in an old version. This should make migrating OS's much more enjoyable!

Did anyone put the archive versions online yet? There are plenty of file hosting sites that you can use if you don't have a web site set up.
All you have to do is upload the file to a hosting site and post the link here.
