I've had this strange issue with the AI continuing to attack dead stations. I'm on 1.6b4 on Win 8, fresh game playing eternity port.
Noticed this twice. First was right after the start Goron Soldier continuing to attack anarchists even though it had already destroyed it. And it continued to do so even though I was hammering it with the Otorishi cannon (at a slightly longer range than the Goron was from the destroyed station but still on the same screen.
Second was this Salvage Nomad in the screenshot which got accidentally hit with the Laser array from the Abbasid outpost while I hid behind an asteroid and killed it.
AI attacking dead stations?

Confirmed for Goron Behemoths, Xenophobe Defenders, and Dreaming Nomads.

Is there a way to reproduce this?JohnBWatson wrote:Confirmed for Goron Behemoths, Xenophobe Defenders, and Dreaming Nomads.

I've had this happen while testing TSB as well, usually when spawning enemy stations very close to each other using godmod to deliberately instigate battle.

Not to my knowledge, but I believe it's a known glitch that's been occurring with Xenophobe defenders for a while.george moromisato wrote:Is there a way to reproduce this?JohnBWatson wrote:Confirmed for Goron Behemoths, Xenophobe Defenders, and Dreaming Nomads.
It also affects Ferian Warriors.

I’ll confirm. It seems to happen most often with Salvager Nomads for me, but they’re hardly the only ones. Xenophobes are frequent culprits, and I’ve even had it happen with an Alderem Destroyer from TSB once. It’s not something that crops up often, but it does crop up often enough to be noticeable.

Of all the things I’ve lost in life, I miss my mind the least. (I’m having a lot more fun without it!)

If someone gets a savefile in which a ship (salvager or other) is attacking a dead station, please send it to me. Thanks!
George I've shared it with you. Chack PMs. The file you're looking for is Blitz-2963.sav. I've quit the game before exiting the Kibo starter system where I encountered these issues. You should be able to find the entire game folder state in there.george moromisato wrote:If someone gets a savefile in which a ship (salvager or other) is attacking a dead station, please send it to me. Thanks for your help! I believe I've fixed this problem in 1.6 Beta 5.
