How to get use mods in steam version without bugs?

I got gifted a copy of Transcendence by a friend of mine who I always talked about the game with a few months ago. Tried to use a player ship mod and the shields segment was eerily orange instead of the green it should be. How can I fix that? Or is there another way to play the game with the expansions.

It is not a bug. The orange one is a default placeholder for ship's HUD while the green one is manually designed. To make them to be a green, you need to request the author of that mods to make a change.

The mods seems a bit outdated with game current version. Contact with the author here or perhaps you may get response faster via discord channel.
