Notice Regarding 3rd-Party Platform Security
Posted: Fri Feb 24, 2017 8:18 am
Today Cloudflare, which is used to provide load balancing and DDOS protection, revealed that they were subject to a security vulnerability which may have resulted in some private data, including passwords, messages, and private message history, being leaked within the past few months.
This attack is new, so the full implications are not yet fully known. However, security matters are very important to us here. We are looking to Google (who published the vulnerability) and CloudFlair (our CDN provider) for updates and will leave them were as they come. Kronosaur and Transcendence were not compromised and the threat of this security vulnerability is very low However, to that end, it is encouraged you consider changing your password(s) for any service that uses CloudFlair (including these forums) out of an abundance of caution.
More details to follow.
