The this-time-for-sure release is out:

This fixes (once again) the bug that causes crashes on docking (I hope).
Also fixes a few other unrelated bugs (Huari double gates and PM's deviceSlotCategory fix).

Thanks to everyone who sent in save files to help me track the bug.

deviceSlotCategory works better now. It even works on AutoDefenseDevices.

I downloaded 108L, but now the game itself won't initialize. I get the error message "Unable to initialize Transcendece". The system ran fine on 108fa earlier today. Anyone have any ideas?

Just another basic commonplace advice but maybe you should download again and unpack it in a new folder.
The file size of Transcendence.exe is 6,519,424 bytes and Transcendence.tdb is 31,843,904 bytes. Working fine for me.

@callsignthumper: Check Task Manager's Processes tab to see if transcendence.exe is still running. If it is then that's your other copy. Just end that process and start Trans again. (it's happened to me once or twice...)

Two Huaramarca gates can still spawn in 1.08l, at least in binary systems. The hidden square gate was a short distance beyond the primary yellow star system, and the second round gate was near a planet within the secondary red dwarf system.

I had two spawn as well, in a single star system though.

When hacking the AI in the Heretic system, after successful hack I was sent back to the screen with the explanation and the start button, only way to break the loop was alt+f4. I think this is a similar bug to the one with the rescued settlements and the rice.

Also my high score didn't get put up because the it couldn't be validated, is this a bug or is there something wrong with my install?

SCS Asia picked a fight with a Xenophobe Worldship. Here is the result. The game didn't actually crash, but it did notify me of the error when I gated out of the system

Wasn't a very good turn of events as CSC Asia was the only non hospital CSC in my game.
