George,

I used the download link for 1.0.3, but each time I downloaded it, my computer said that the file was corrupted. I have used PeaZip Portable Archiver, WinRAR, and Windows' built in extraction tool, but continue to receive the same results. I "repaired" the file with WinRAR, but was only able to extract the *.tdb file, and the theme song. Could you assist me in obtaining the newest version? Perhaps as an email attachment?

Hmmmm... are you on the shared transcendence drop-box folder?

I clicked on the link which George supplied on the first page of this thread, Wolfy. I could not find a link to the same on Xelerus, and as far as I know, that is the only Transcendence related site currently using "Drop Box."

Ok, that would be a no then. Ummm... let's see... can you do a direct file transfer over IRC? (I can't for some reason, but you might find someone on IRC who can)

As far as I know, Wolfy, I am not able to send files by IRC either. This is why I suggested an email attachment. However, if you have a working zip of the version in question, we could arrange a transfer via email, if that would be acceptable to you.

When I install 1.03, will it just overwrite all the neccesary files? Or do I actually need to uninstall 1.01 b4 hand???

And if I do ahve to do a complete uninstall, should I just move my extensions folder to a seperate folder so they won't get deleted? Same thing for saves?
Will 1.01 saves work with 1.03?

Switching devices on and off in the device menu with number hotkeys work nicely.

Using dull green for wrecks instead of bright green as used by friendlies is nice too. Good job. Can we have demolished enemy stations appear as dull red (or anything else instead of bright red as used by live enemies) as well?

Heh, the player's communications bracket is white. (thus everything is perfectly cloned color-wise from the LRS

Another gameplay-thing I noticed ... this probably exists quite a while:

I do a lot Korolov missions during the early game since they play pretty good.
Before that I usually clear the system of enemy stations so I just need to pay attention to the Corsair gunships attacking the freighter Im escorting and the like.
In a system with enemy stations scattered across the inner asteroid belt the freighter would try to avoid flying to close to enemy stations - which is perfectly fine.
But since I already destroyed those stations the freighter would fly some kind of funny loops which made no sense, but required much more maneuvering to not loose him.
Should destroyed enemy stations be ignored when a course is calculated?
In this scenario my freighter could have even chosen a direct course, which would have made the missions way easier...

Just got a new forum title :D

For the above post: Too bad you cant attach images to a post. A picture of the system I was describing probably would have made things clearer...

You can upload the picture externally to a place like photobucket or imageshack (please DO NOT use thumbnails; they don't work on this board - if it's a really big picture, just put a direct link; smaller pcitures can be embedded via [img] bbcode)
