It's not particularly unusual for it to happen to me. In any heavy combat you need to run all systems at once. In any case, dropping the wolfen's shield to a class II sounds fine to me. It'll still have the best equipment.

Not a bug. If you were paying attention to the messages popping up, you would have noticed one declaring the super freighter a suicide bomber. Now, that the CSC took it out without your help is something of a bug. That makes it rather hard to fail the mission.

Actually, neurohack roms are solely for a heretic mission.
I don't think there is any transcendence merchandise available.

Option #1 would be fine if there were any Sung weapons and shields aside from the Nandao bolt cannon and one-of-a-kind dragon slaver items. We could redefine that as weapons used by sung. Yes, it's possible, but AFAIK not in a single weapon. You'd have to make a ship with multiple weapons along the side. Sadly, the game isn't designed to have the player use multiple weapons very well. As a quick point, a centurion can carry 2k thermo cannon shells. Any freighter but an aurochs would be silly. Fuel is supposed to be a significant money sink. If you have serious troubles with fuel I would suggest that you are using way too much power. Shields are generally the biggest sink, so if you aren't using a specific shield, just back down a couple levels. Now, I'm not for raising the price of fuel ...

Okay, had this occur to me.
Mods: DSF 2.0, insane difficulty, G.O.D 1.4.1 (with debugOnly added)
It happened after I died and insurance kicked in while I was looting a wreck. Turning debug mode off and loading my game then fixed the bug.
